About the role

We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join us as a Claims Advisor in our Personal Injury Claims team on a full time 6 month contract. As a Claims Advisor, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims to ensure that our injured customers receive the relevant treatment and rehabilitation, and that their claims for compensation are processed as quickly and efficiently as possible. If you want to be part of a wider team which specialises in excellence in personal injury claims management, this could be the opportunity for you. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include:

  • Obtaining and reviewing medical, financial, investigative and rehabilitation reports to assist in the accurate assessment of individual claims
  • Ensuring legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with ongoing review of medical, financial investigative and rehabilitation reports
  • Adopting appropriate strategies are observed to resolve claims cost effectively
  • Ensuring early access to appropriate rehabilitation so that injured claimants can achieve optimal recovery from their injuries
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service to the legislative authority, employers and injured workers through compliance with legislation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous Workers Compensation claims experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders included claimants, third party providers, external bodies and internal teams
  • Strong administrative and written skills and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim whilst keeping in the restraints of the ACT legislation
  • Strong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations
  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to workplace improvement and changes
