Web Writer

The Role

Join the People Experience’s Service Improvement and Optimisation function to design and deliver web based communications for Suncorp’s People (HR) intranet. The PX Analyst - Web Writer is part of a wider team of 5 and is responsible for developing and maintaining self-service content for Suncorp’s People Intranet. This includes a focus on designing solutions that are aligned to employee needs through user based design. This role is available due to parental leave. It is an excellent opportunity to hone your communication and content design skills.


Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the HR Advisor, Web Intranet Lead, you will be required to:

  • Create customer-centric communications and drive content design, development and quality review practices to deliver exceptional intranet content
  • Ensure content meets the design, brand and governance requirements
  • Advise on design and presentation of information on the People intranet to optimise HR self-service
  • Identify opportunities to drive self-service and continuously improve the service
  • Support the Intranet Advisor to design the People intranet strategy and governance framework.
  • Work closely with Systems and Policy Advisors in PX and TDL to understand flow-on implications of any intranet changes.
  • Liaise directly with clients to develop self-service content that is relevant and time-saving and provides the guidance they need.
  • Advocate for the online employee experience across platforms, devices and locations.


The Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills with a background in marketing, communications or public relations. Specifically, you will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations
  • Previous experience in a similar communications or content (web / digital) based role - Preferred
  • Experience with SharePoint and some familiarity with HTML principles - preferred
  • Experience in writing content for the web adhering to style guidelines
  • Experience working in a project role in a busy fast-paced environment and strong organisational skills
  • Experience using information principles to deliver customer centric organisational outcomes
