The Role:

The Personal Injury Claims business currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Claims Management professional to join the Brisbane CBD team as a Senior Claims Advisor – Specialty Claims.

Based in Brisbane, in your new role you will be responsible for managing a range of public and products liability personal injury claims from across Australia. 

Key responsibilities:

• Assess and determine policy coverage and liability;
• Obtain and review medical, financial and investigative to assist in the accurate assessment of the value of each individual claim;
• Contribute a high level of technical skills and knowledge in the negotiation and settlement of claims;
• Negotiate claims settlements with claimants direct or their solicitors in line with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines;
• Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction;
• Utilise and collaborate with relevant internal specialists to discuss and action plan file direction;
• Mentor and coach junior members of the team.

Required qualifications/experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in either Business, Legal, or Finance areas - desirable
• Strong knowledge of and experience in managing public and product liability injury claims
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the confidence to make timely decisions
• Outstanding customer service focus
• Excellent time management skills
