Executive Assistant to Chief Legal Officer

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our Chief Legal Officer on a permanent full time basis. The key purpose of this role is to assist the Chief Legal Officer in managing the day to day requirements of the role including the coordination and management of all administrative functions and to provide occasional administrative assistance to the Suncorp Group board.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing executive level administrative support to the Chief Legal Officer
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, including the Office of the CEO, the Suncorp Board and the Suncorp Group Senior Leadership Team, on behalf of the Chief Legal Officer
  • Ensuring the Chief Legal Officer is effectively briefed and prepared for meetings
  • Inbox and diary management
  • Coordinating meetings (agendas, papers & minutes/actions)
  • Reporting (AMEX expenses, telco reports, organisational charts, Due Diligence reports etc)
  • Managing travel arrangements
  • Managing expenses and procurement
  • Coordinating recruitment including onboarding and terminations
  • Informal leadership and coordination of the team assistant community within Legal & Secretariat
  • Activities to support engagement and enablement of the Legal & Secretariat team eg organising team events, helping to maintain the intranet site
  • Other tasks to support the smooth and effective operation of the office and wider Function  

The Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous senior Executive Assistant experience within a busy corporate environment (essential)
  • Superior organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others
  • A self-motivated, and independent personality who displays initiative
  • Commitment to and ability to work collaboratively towards team goals
