Financial Planning Associate

The Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning Associate to join our team based in Brisbane CBD. This role reports to the Lead Financial Planning Associate. The purpose of the role is to provide high quality Planner support. The team acts as an enabler for Suncorp Advice Financial Planners to optimise their efficiency, productivity and to help provide an exceptional end to end customer experience.  

To succeed in this role you will be able to work within a team environment, be proactive and solutions based, respond and adapt within a dynamic environment and build successful relationships with both Planners and Stakeholders.

Some key accountabilities:

  • Efficient and accurate implementation of strategic advice
  • Contact with internal and external product providers to obtain relevant information for the development of advice strategy and product replacement statements
  • Generate insurance quotations on existing and proposed products
  • Portfolio analysis using calculators (eg portfolio selection, investment returns, projections)
  • Book client presentation appointments and associated follow up for Ongoing Service Clients
  • Check on progress of applications through underwriting and communicate status to planners
  • Follow up external Superannuation rollovers and requirements.
  • Prepare appointment packs/application forms for client meetings 

You will have:

  • Minimum 2 -3 years’ experience within a Financial Services role
  • RG146 compliant (DFP 1 to 4)  -  desirable
  • Experience in insurance and superannuation related industry - desirable
  • Proficiency in COIN (training provided)
  • Intermediate MS Word and Excel
