Project Managers - Digital Technology

At the forefront of marketplace delivery, Digital Technology is embarking on a digital transformation to revolutionise the way customers interact with us digitally.

To support this, our Digital Technology teams are currently looking for several experienced Project Managers with a passion for digital to join their teams. You will be responsible to manage the end to end delivery of a project. Projects may have one or varying combination of Business, technical or infrastructural deliverables.


As a Project Manager, you will: 

  • Leads the team based on stated project success criteria
  • Lead small-medium projects under the overall program of work for a department.
  • Accountable for end to end delivery of the project to the business from initiation and planning through to closure in accordance with internal published standards and processes
  • Engage with business and other stakeholders to determine project scope, overall plan and statement of work
  • Pro-active manage risk mitigation by project approach or seeking design alternatives
  • Provide regular status reports to stake-holders
  • Procure resources (space, equipment, etc) as needed by each team member
  • Establish and manage project budgets
  • Proactive dispute resolution amongst team members
  • Manage project dependencies and track progress by service providers
  • Manages engagements of external teams and monitor their deliverables
  • Stakeholder management
  • Provide key stakeholders and project sponsor with regular status updates, including risks and issues
  • Organises key project meetings and workshops
  • Maintains metrics on long-term team progress
  • Facilitates cross-project communications
  • Ensures project timelines are achieved and are visible to the team
  • Utilise Business Technology’s Agile approach to ensure successful project delivery for the business
  • Contribute to the enhancement of this Agile approach, and share learning's with peers and other stakeholders
  • Be responsible for managing benefits definition with stakeholders
  • Apply strong financial management skills to monitor and control each project’s financial position. 

The ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • IT or similar tertiary qualifications or equivalent
  • Experience (minimum type and level of experience required to perform the role)
  • Typically minimum 5 year BT industry experience
  • At least 1-3 years Project Management Experience
  • Experience with the Agile techniques (desired)  
  • Key Capabilities/Technical Competencies (skills, knowledge, technical or specialist capabilities)
  • Effective Decision making
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • High-level release planning based on delivered business capabilities and dependencies
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Financial literacy to forecast and manage budgets
  • Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders
  • Ability to motivate the project team members
  • Effective planning, co-ordinating and managing time frames to achieve deliverables
  • Knowledge of Project management methodologies, processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile approach preferred
  • Knowledge of Change and release management processes and procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of Application and Infrastructure Development processes
