Quality Assurance Advisor

As the Quality Assurance Advisor, you will be part of a dynamic and fast paced environment, supporting the first line of defence to provide key monitoring and supervision categories across Suncorp Customer Platforms (CP) division. You will be monitoring and supervising services frameworks across CP by using knowledge of the industry operational environment, the financial environment, and expertise in risk management. This includes requirements for personal advice across Resilium and Resilium Insurance Broking.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand the broader risk requirements (compliance, policy, legislative, regulatory, audit, reporting, and Business Continuity Management agenda and likely impacts) and work in support of the team’s agenda, frameworks and participation in the requirements for CP.
  • Ensure CP teams understand the intent, purpose and importance of risk management.
  • Deliver monitoring & supervision and quality assurance solutions that meet the business requirements, and are aligned with strategy and standards at CP and Group levels.
  • Suggest solutions to a given issue / business need, providing balanced and practical advice.
  • Contribute to the delivery of appropriate processes and procedures to drive two-way communication and outputs from support teams such as analytics, reporting, coaching, incident management, and advice documentation & business rules development.
  • Support real sustainable change in the way we do business to minimise risk, drive compliant outcomes and an exceptional and consistent customer experience.

Required qualifications/experience:

  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking and Tier 2 General Insurance (including Personal Advice), Diploma of Insurance Broking, Diploma of General Insurance is required.
  • Track record of successful implementation of financial governance/compliance.
  • 5+ experience in a risk/compliance or related field within the Financial Services/Life Insurance/General Insurance industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a personal advice role.
  • Experience in building successful relationships at all levels 5+ years.
  • Previous experience completing audits of General Insurance practices and Authorised Representatives.
  • Availability to travel required.
