Claims Advisor - Seriously Injured Workers

There is a current vacancy for a Claims Advisor in the Severe Injury Portfolio within the Litigated and Impairment Team in NSW Workers Compensation Claims. The role manages a portfolio of approximately 65 severely injured workers who have been accepted into the Workers Care Program.  The nature of injuries sustained include Quadriplegia, Paraplegia, Severe Brain injuries, amputees and severe burns.  These claims are of a very sensitive nature and are under constant scrutiny from internal and external stakeholders including iCare.

The core responsibilities of this role include;

  • Dealing with the sensitivities surrounding the nature of catastrophic injuries such as paraplegic, quadriplegia, burns, amputations and acquired brain injuries.
  • Making ongoing accurate and timely compensation payments.
  • Engaging with Workers Care on a regular basis to ensure we are meeting the injury related needs of each claimant
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service to the legislative authority, employers and injured workers through compliance with legislation, timely response times and efficiency in processing.

The successful candidate will need to have exceptional communication and time management skills.  They will also be able to effectively manage all aspects of each claim whilst keeping in the restraints of the NSW legislation.  It is ideal for the successful candidate to have a demonstrated claims experience, ideally within Personal Injury Claims or you will have an allied health background.

This is a complex, challenging yet rewarding role within the business where you can positively impact quality of life for people who have suffered a catastrophic injury.

If you're keen to join a dedicated and inspired team and develop in an iconic national organisation that offers a flexible and diverse working environment and career progression, we would like to hear from you. A competitive salary package will be negotiated dependent on aptitude, skill and experience.
