The Role:

As a Business Development Consultant working as part of the Wealth & Life Intermediaries group, you will work as part of the State Sales Team with an overall responsibility to grow life risk sales. Managing a portfolio of advisers across various licensees you will achieve growth and retention targets by developing profitable relationships through phone based account management.

Some Key Accountabilities of the role are as follows:

  • Proactive phone based contact of assigned advisers to improve understanding of Life Risk products and ultimately increase the volume of business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Advisers and their office staff within your portfolio as appropriate to maximise financial opportunities.
  • Adviser retention monitoring and work with BDMs, BDCs and BDOs in managing and addressing issues to contribute to portfolio growth and minimise attrition levels.
  • Own the performance of the adviser portfolio, being an advocate for Suncorp's Life Risk capability and taking accountability for issue resolution.
  • Attending face to face meetings and events as and when required.
