Insights Advisor

  • Provide day-to-day program support and management of Customer Experience programs
  • Act as an advisor to relevant marketing and operational
  • This role can be located in either Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney CBD
  • 6 month contract


About the Business

Customer Experience (CX) oversee our brands and marketing for the whole Suncorp Group, define the markets we will play in and design new propositions based on customer insight and strategic innovation.

About the role

As the Insights Advisor, you will provide day-to-day program support and management of ad hoc research projects including a number of large Customer Experience programs of work across all of Suncorp Group, providing performance reporting and metrics. 

You will support Managers in driving commercial outcomes and provide strategic thought leadership and advice in the areas of evidence-based insights, brand portfolio and customer experience optimisation, and digital innovation to support the group’s organic growth strategy. 

More specifically you will:

  • Day-to-day program support and management of Customer Experience programs including the timely & accurate delivery of sample, monthly scorecards, development and review of reports & presentations, responding to ad hoc requests from stakeholders and ensuring online reporting tools are maintained, accessible and refreshed to align with stakeholder needs.
  • Drive insight generation relating to the individual customer sentiment performance on all insurance brands, identifying opportunities to strengthen our competitive advantage in customer experience.
  • Act as an advisor to relevant marketing and operational stakeholders to ensure they have a clear understanding of customer experience performance via different touch points and the implications for individual brands.
  • Support the broader customer insights and experience team in the timely delivery of the quarterly issues-based deep dives and develop compelling stories and actionable recommendations with high operational unit impact.
  • Day-to-day relationship management with key suppliers supporting all insights programs, ensuring delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual commitments to drive quality outputs and escalating issues as required.
  • Support the broader insights team in managing ad hoc research projects, from briefing agencies to reviewing reports and presentations
  • Provide insights support and advice to inform tactical and strategic marketing decisions, in consultation with the Manager of Customer Insights and the Insights Managers
  • Support the business teams to build propositions that satisfy underlying consumer needs and measure the impact of the propositions when rolled out to the target market.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in a related discipline
  • At least 6 years of experience in a commercially focussed research / insight or marketing role
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative primary consumer research and application of same in a commercial context
  • Experience working in market research agency environment would be beneficial
  • Experience in similar roles in Services or FMCG organisations, or organisations that control marketing direction and decision-making locally would be desirable
  • Comfortable working with data, including the ability to synthesise multiple sources of information to uncover actionable insights
  • Strong planning, project management and reporting skills
  • Proven ability to work in an agile team environment and service internal clients
