Relationship Manager - Longreach

The Relationship Manager role involves managing and growing a portfolio of profitable business customers in a defined geographical market in pursuit of specific sales, service, growth and opportunity targets.


Some key responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and relationship manage quality new to bank business to grow the Bank's business lending portfolio
  • Designing, implementing and monitoring an annual portfolio business including marketing and business plan to achieve desired portfolio growth
  • Monitor and analyse portfolio growth, sales, service, credit quality, MFI, ROI and expense results for the portfolio.
  • Identify and implement corrective activity where performance gaps exist within budgeted targets
  • Maximising the visibility of the Suncorp Bank brand throughout the region by actively promoting the company at public events
  • Networking with tier 1 customers in conjunction with District Manager to optimise and maintain relationships and promote customer retention
  • Supporting improvement and monitoring customer service/customer satisfaction outcomes for the portfolio


Required qualifications/experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in roles requiring growth and retention of a customer base
  • Knowledge of Agricultural businesses, primarily beef cattle
  • Analytical skills – ability to develop solutions and courses of action and recommend solutions by using an information base to identify key issues compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships
  • Change Management – ability to recognise, understand and support need for change and anticipate the impact on both the team and self
  • Commercial Acumen – ability to recognise and implement business strategies to drive profitable growth, customer acquisition, customer experience and sales productivity
