Support Analyst, Insurance Technology

About the role

We are on the lookout for a skilled Support Analyst who is proficient in IT Service Management to work within our Insurance Technology team.  Reporting to the Delivery Manager and based in either Sydney or Brisbane, the purpose of this role is to provide analysis, reporting and support for the Insurance Technology team, to ensure effective management of the operational aspects of the division.  The role requires autonomy, excellent time management, initiative, problem solving, communication and analysis skills.  The analysis and insight generated by the Support Analyst enables the Insurance Technology Leadership team to effectively manage operations across financials, resources, risk, compliance and other areas.

Key responsibilities of the role will include

  • Ensure effective tracking of project and operational costs to budget and reporting requirements
  • Manage department financial processes including accruals, journals, processing invoices & monthly reporting.
  • Generate monthly resource reporting and manage reconciliation to budget targets
  • Administer the set-up of projects and resources in the corporate resource and timesheet system.
  • Provide regular communication & training to leaders about timesheet processing and deadlines.
  • Analyse resource utilisation from timesheet data and provide reports to Leaders on FTE forecasts and actuals.
  • Design, develop and maintain data / spreadsheets to convert data into meaningful reports.
  • Support Team Leaders with processing of work order management, consolidation and extensions
  • Recognise and effectively communicate priorities to the department and stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing management of Risk and Compliance, including reporting and scheduling of testing activities
  • Real Estate capacity & forecasting
  • Assist in monitoring risk and other governance issues.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products – particularly excel
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative in problem solving, business research and analytical skills.
  • Preparedness to accept requests for assistance and directions from a number of staff with differing requirements, while continuing to demonstrate good priority and time management skills.
  • A disciplined approach to planning, design and execution, demonstrating the ability to prioritise workload, meet agreed timeframes
  • Experience (minimum type and level of experience required to perform the role)
  • Intermediate knowledge in Sharepoint
  • A tertiary degree in Business, Finance or Commerce (or similar) is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of Workforce Planning
