Leader, CTP Claims

 

  • Lead, coach and develop a claims team in fast paced, high volume claims team
  • Work with Executive Manager on strategies that lift capability of Claims teams
  • Brisbane Location

The Role:

As the Leader, you will provide purposeful leadership and direction to create a high performing team environment, providing oversight and management of operational/strategic activities in line with divisional objectives.

You must provide outstanding leadership through role modelling, consistent coaching at all levels to strengthen skills and productivity; and drive activities that build team engagement and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Motivate, develop, empower and engage team members to drive results and create a high performing team.
  • Collaborate and engage with other Team Leaders to create a plan to drive performance of the team and/or create claims segment plan that delivers team results against the divisional strategy
  • Manage day to day workflow; resources, productivity and efficiency, ensuring performance objectives are met.
  • Monitor team and departmental results (within an operational excellence framework) promoting individual ownership of performance and development
  • Collaborate and engage with Technical Advisor and Injury Management Advisor to identify and implement technical development opportunities for team members.
  • Seek advice/input from Technical Advisor and Injury Management Advisor regarding complex technical decisions and issues.
  • Regularly review and monitor team and individual performance seeking input from key stakeholders. 

Required qualifications/experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience leading a team of people or demonstrated abilities to lead and engage others
  • Proven track record in coaching and mentoring team to consistently drive high performance culture and achievements
  • Innovative and solutions driven
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience in Personal Injury Management
  • Degree in business, Commerce or related field -Desired
