NSW CTP Injury Management Advisor

 

  • Ensure quality decisions are made within claims management

The Role

You are paramount to ensure the quality of the decision-making process within claims management and promoting consistency in approach and compliance to legislation.

You will be responsible in providing clinical and injury management technical expertise to assess NSW CTP personal injury claims for treatment and rehabilitation requirements as well as being accountable for the coaching and mentoring of the Claim Advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and injury management technical expertise to assess personal injury claims
  • Assess and advise on appropriate treatment and rehabilitation requirements
  • Coach Claims Advisors to ensure a sound understanding of Injury Management is applied when making decisions
  • Engage with service providers, claimants, solicitors and claims staff
  • Influence effective claims strategy though timely and cost-effective intervention
  • Support the team leader to identify development opportunities and trends to improve individual and team performance
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of legislative guidelines and schedules into the business
  • Engage with other Injury Management Advisors for complex decision making, advice and feedback
  • Maintain a constant customer focus by working with customers, team members and third parties to find solutions consistent with their needs and the business objectives

Skills & Experience

  • Allied health background and qualifications - mandatory
  • 3+ years hands-on face-to-face clinical injury management experience ideally coupled with additional Occupational Rehabilitation experience
  • Prior Workers Compensation/CTP/Return to work experience
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate complex information with a variety of stakeholders including staff and allied health professionals
  • Ability to coach and mentor Claims staff to build technical knowledge and expertise
  • Strong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations
